launch from Makkum and Schelde, the Netherlands. Amels Holland started as a 1918 family business for commercial and naval shipbuilding. They
added yacht construction in the early 1980s, and by 1987 Amels had made the complete transition to producing yachts only. Luxury yachts are native to
Amels's construction, and the yachts measure at least 131 feet in length. The shipyards are also equipped for yacht refitting, the most notable being the refit of the motor yacht, Nabila for Mr. Donald Trump. Amels Yachts are respected in the yachting community; the Tigre D'Or won awards from the Superyacht Society for "Best Power 141 ft+" in 1997 and "Best Power Interior" in 1997 and 1999.
Amels are masters in the art of modern Dutch high-value yacht building. The yard is the largest superyacht facility in the Netherlands and one of the top superyacht builders in the world. In 2007 AMELS launched the successful LIMITED EDITIONS – five motor yacht designs ranging from 55 to 83 metres with exteriors by award-winning British designer Tim Heywood. The craftsmen at AMELS share the rich, centuries-old tradition of nautical excellence in Vlissingen. With direct access to the North Sea, the yard can accommodate new builds and refits for even the largest of private yachts up to 200 metres. Today the AMELS yard covers 100,000sq m, including fully climate-controlled covered drydocks. Comprehensive paint facilities ensure the highest quality finish, while the design and engineering team ensures precision and reliability for trouble-free enjoyment. It’s the refinement of every single detail that makes an AMELS yacht unique.
