are a product of Garlington Landeweer, where sport fishing and sport cruising yachts have been the business. Richard Garlington, who passed away in 2003, founded the company under the name Garlington, in Stuart, Florida. Richard was the builder of several models of yachts, including sportfishing 48, 51, 55 and 58-foot long yachts, in custom styles. Peter and Everet Landeweer purchased the company in 1993, adding their name to the well-established Garlington company and continuing to make quality tournament-class yachts of larger sizes. The owners have made a large effort to consult experts in composite construction to use on the yachts, and the Garlington Landeweer 61 was built using this technology. Today, the Garlington Landeweer 72-foot and 80-foot models are built in New Zealand.
