Lowland Yachts
has been a superyacht maker, whose name bears a description of the home country in which they are built: the Netherlands. Over the years, the Lowland shipyard in Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk has constructed yachts in both aluminum and steel hull styles. Yachts offered by Lowland have included the American Bureau of Shipping certification. Pieter Beeldsnijder has been the designer of many Lowland yachts. Lowland’s Nethship line featured long-range cruising yachts with diesel engines, and focused on providing even amateurs with an easily-handled yacht during extended trips. Some of the smaller yachts (in the 40-50 foot range) offered a single diesel engine, while larger yachts (60 feet and up) have twin diesel engines. All of the Lowland yachts exhibit Dutch quality in their construction.
