Nordhavn Yachts
yachts are constructed by Pacific Asian Enterprises, headquartered in Dana Point, California. Three men started Pacific Asian Enterprises in 1976: Jim Leishman, Dan Streech and Joe Meglen, experienced in Taiwanese boat construction. The men first became famous for building Mason sailboats, but then desired to satisfy the needs of a long-distance cruiser. Today, Nordhavn yachts are available in 35 feet to 72 feet in overall length. Nordhavn yachts offer the choice of full displacement hulls or semi-displacement hulls, based on the particular requirements for the owner. The International Marine Certification Institute of Belgium has certified the Nordhavn yachts, and Nordhavn yachts can be built as CE Certified upon special request for those wishing to import into Europe.
