Striker Yachts
were constructed in an extremely popular area of the United States for yacht building: the city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Not surprisingly for the area, the specialization of Striker yachts is in sportfishing yachts, though other classic motor yachts were also produced. Herb Phillips founded the Striker Yacht Corporation in 1951, where yachts made of steel were built until the company took a revolutionary, leading step to incorporate marine aluminum into the pleasure craft. Striker yachts benefited over the years from building expertise and production facilities first in the United States, then Holland, Norway, and in Viareggio, Italy. The latest Striker yacht lines ranged in size from 55 feet to 130 feet in overall length. Many attest to the world-class quality of Striker yachts.
