Description
One-owner (engineer), meticulously maintained and lift-stored since delivery.
Mechanical: Cummins 330 hp diesel engines (650 hrs) with Hurth transmissions, 8kW Westerbeke genset (100 hrs). Engines are freshwater cooled with have raw water flush outs, consistently used. Two A/C-heat pumps (w/flush out) plus resistance heat.
Electronics: 3x GPS (one used as combo back-up GPS and depth sounder), 2x DS, 2 x VHS, radar, dual-station autopilot, TV with antenna.
Canvas: bimini, windshield and side window covers; fly bridge chairs and seats.
Notable features: two heads, one with shower/tub and one with shower (both heads have private stateroom doors); dual stations (lower helm seat folds into galley countertop); two helm chairs on bridge, icemaker, two stereos, microwave and stove w/oven, two under-counter frigs, windlass with Delta anchor and chain+rode, L-shaped couch, dinette and chair in salon.
Comments: This is the second new 3988 owned by the seller. The earlier boat had Hino engines, and this boat is a considerable upgrade in power and performance. The salon is very roomy with galley-up and ample seating for entertaining. The fly bridge seating is excellent for entertaining with added helm chair for mate. The owner is an engineer and has meticulously maintained this boat. Engine room is roomy with good access to engines via a cockpit door.
Boat is comfortable at a cruise of 20-24 kts or 7-8 kts smell-the-roses speed with impressive economy.
